SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals (Hauppauge, NY), the nation’s leading provider of computer rental services, beat out several competitors to gain the Miami Beach Convention Center’s contract as its “Preferred In-house Supplier” for audiovisual, computer, copier and related peripheral products. In addition, SmartSource was awarded an exclusive contract to manage the facilities in-house Business Center.
According to Senior Vice President Steve Shatsoff, what appealed to the Convention Center was SmartSource’s ability to provide a comprehensive offering encompassing all the services and products necessary to satisfy the multitude of presentation and information processing applications demanded by today’s exhibitors and show managers. SmartSource’s total solution advantage is also used extensively at other convention centers nationwide, including New York’s Javits Center, Boston’s John B. Hynes Convention Center, Chicago’s McCormick Place, Las Vegas’s Wynn Hotel and San Francisco’s Moscone Center.

The in-house facility at the Miami Beach Convention Center is expected to generate additional revenues in the seven figures range and will be complemented by SmartSource’s existing branch location in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
